SWEET ABYSS returns for August, welcoming a collaborative live set from special guests KING SOPHIA & NA BONSAI coming down from the maginificent midwest metropolis of Detroit. @kingsophiamusic @na_bonsai

We initially came in touch with this dynamic duo after JZKL opened for a live show they played in April in Detroit, & were touched by the aural imaginations they manifest together, as well as the plethora of amazing music they individually make as solo artists. With uninhibited soundwaves & boundless technique applied to cello, guitar, & evocative electronic beats, these multidisciplinary artists provide unique visions of expansive worlds within live arrangement & energized composition, made to move physical & corporeal form alike in present time together.

Kinetic educator extraordinaire Madame Trio will DJ delicious beats to gyrate, whirl, & twirl your mind to, alongside Sweet Abyss resident audiovisual daddy Malzof on the decks opening the portal for the evening. @madame_trio @jmal_malzof

Sweet Abyss is an event to center people that run afoul of societal expectations playing a wide variety of fun, strange, rhythmic sounds to dance or move their minds to. Dance to all kinds of synth-wave, trip hop, dub, disco, & electronic explorations. Hosted by residents Kiernan Laveaux, Malzof, Davis Galvin + Carrie Sours
