Hot Mess
Rojo x Hot Mass present Hot Mess, a late-night club event featuring Michael Cignarale, Rojo, and Thablackgod.
THIS NIGHT IS GOING TO BE SUCH A MESS (AND WE LOVE THAT)
Local sanctuary for nocturnal dancers, Hot Mass shares the pulpit for a night guaranteed to leave its queer congregation seeing the light of day, literally.
On Saturday, June 20, Pittsburgh based DJ, nightlife curator, and founder of events collective, Twirlville, ROJO, ushers in their debut party for Hot Mass dubbed “Hot Mess”. An invitation for dancers to unmask and free their messy, mischievous, and unburdened nature buried just beneath the surface.
To commemorate this occasion, ROJO is conjuring a gag worthy lineup of guest DJs with a proven track record of leaving the club and club goers a total mess: walls dripping, shirts soaked, lashes loose. You get the picture?
Fresh off of dance floors in New York City, Michael Cignarale brings tidings to the inaugural Hot Mess. With queer club anthems like “She Thinks She’s Fierce” and “Turn My Body Out” Cignarale is a powerful enigma who has given the dance music scene a new feast for both sight and sound. In January 2024, he was named as one of DJ Mag’s “Eight Emerging Artists You Need To Hear.”
Making their Pittsburgh debut, DC’s THABLACKGOD is also blessing the function. An innovator among the ballroom and underground scenes in the nation’s capital, THABLACKGOD is making a ministry out of music and culture. Whether through producing music or hosting events as 1/4 of events collective, FWB, THABLACKGOD’s combination of techno, club, and vogue beats leaves listeners and party people alike with a little slice of Black/Queer heaven.
At the end of the day, Hot Mess is a celebration of queer dance music culture and the freedom that emerges when expectations, egos, and inhibitions are checked at the door. It’s giving salvation!
Oh. By the way, did we mention, no phones?
VIBE: House, Techno, everything else in between.
DRESS CODE: Thotty.
